Proclamation 2024 Instructional Materials Public Comment Form

Any resident of Texas may submit written comments about instructional materials under consideration for adoption. The public comment period begins when the pre-adoption samples are posted on the TEA website and ends on Monday, October 30, 2023. Copies of written comments are provided to the SBOE and the publisher and posted on TEA’s website. The SBOE will hold a public hearing at the August 29–September 1, 2023 meeting allowing citizens the opportunity to provide oral testimony about instructional materials submitted for adoption. Representatives of publishing companies may respond to testimony at the hearing or within ten working days of the hearing.


If you wish to report a factual error, please use the Proclamation 2024 Instructional Materials Error-Reporting Form.

Provide all the required information (red *), as much of the optional information as possible, and your comment in the comment box. You must submit a separate form for each program.


TEA will share your comments with the publisher for a response, post them online, and provide them to the State Board of Education.
