Please note: Salem State crowdfunding campaigns must further the mission of Salem State Institutional Advancement by supporting university programs and initiatives. Funds raised through SSU Crowdfunding cannot be redirected to a third-party entity such as an external charity or non-profit.

To create a crowdfunding project, the first step is to fill out this application. We will then reach out to you to schedule a phone conversation and provide you with some training. Please submit this application 3-4 weeks in advance of the anticipated start of your campaign.

Throughout this application, any mention of the word “Group” collectively refers to any group of individuals seeking to create a crowdfunding campaign. “Groups” may include academic departments, student organizations, groups and clubs, as well as club or university sports teams.

Please describe your group.

Please provide name, email, and phone number.

What department or group is this money being raised for?

What program is this money being raised for?

If so, how much have you raised?

How will this project have an impact on your group?

In addition to you, the project lead, it will be necessary to have others help with various aspects of the fundraising process.

Project owners help create and/or post content to your crowdfunding project page as well as help promote the project.
*A minimum of 3 projects owners is recommended

Project ambassadors are responsible for promoting the project via email and social media once the page goes live.
*A minimum of 5 ambassadors is recommended

Crowdfunding is very visual so we recommend using a combination of videos and photos on your project page as well as in promotions for your project.

Approximately how many videos do you anticipate including throughout your 30 day campaign?

Approximately how many photos do you anticipate including throughout your 30-day campaign?

Approximately how many "campaign updates" do you plan to include after the initial project launch?

Please provide a list of any group/department pages that will be used to post during the effort. Include the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, website, and/or other url address.

Please attach a document that describes what your project is about, why you need funds to support your project, how you determined your fundraising goal and any other additional information you would like us to know.
