Please read through the OER Grant Type Descriptions for assistance in choosing the grant choices.

Levels I-III are available with ancillary materials ($500) added. You may also choose to add teaching collaborators (Option B) or project collaborator (Option C).

To qualify for this year's funding, you must teach with OER in the 2024-25 academic year. You are sitll welcome to submit the form if you plan to teach later and we will keep in touch regarding funding opportunities as available in following years.

Which level best describes the OER you plan to implement for your course?*

Level 0 - $500 – Refresh and/or creation of ancillary materials for an existing OER in use

Level I - $1,000 – Adoption of a new, single Open Educational Resource (OER) textbook

Level II - $1,500 – Adoption of two or more OER as remix/revision into a new single OER textbook

Level III - $3,000 – Full authorship of a single new OER textbook with at least 75% original content

If awarded, you can add up to three teaching collaborators who will each qualify for an add-on $500 to the primary grant. Primary applicants and teaching collaborators are required to sign individual MOUs and will indicate how awards are to be disbursed at that time.

Are you interested in using the OPEN OCO Pressbooks (https://open.ocolearnok.org) tool to adopt or develop your OER textbook?*

Faculty are able to use OPEN OCO Pressbooks (https://open.ocolearnok.org) at no cost to clone existing OER textbooks from the Pressbooks Directory (https://pressbooks.directory) and other sources, or to create new textbooks.
