Tips for Writing Notes!

Always provide a reason why something may not be working in a script.

Please talk about both what is working, and what is not working within the script.

As a reader, your notes represent AFF and must be presented in a professional manner.

Never lose sight of AFF's mission for championing writers.

We're looking for at least 150 CHARACTERS (not words!) for each category below, and 750 characters in the Overall Section.

Concept*

Evaluate the concept based on any unique qualities that may separate it from the other similar stories in the same genre.

Plot*

Evaluate if the plot presents a strong narrative with a compelling world.

Structure*

Evaluate if the structure presents a pacing and rhythm that contributes to the flow of the story.

Characters*

Evaluate if the characters are fully developed and complex.

Dialogue*

Evaluate if the dialogue feels authentic to each character and to the world of the story.

Overall*

Compile your overall thoughts on the script by commenting on 1.)What is working AND 2.) What needs work. Fell free to reiterate any of the above notes but DO NOT copy and paste them here verbatim. Your overall notes must be thorough, thoughtful, and constructive. At least 750 characters required.
