Reservation of Graduate Credit

Undergraduate and professional students may use this form to request enrollment in 300, 400, or 500-level courses and apply them towards a graduate degree at WSU. You must meet the following eligibility requirements:


  • Current WSU undergraduate (senior or post-baccalaureate) or professional (MBA, DNP, MD, PharmD, etc.) student.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA over the last 60 credits of coursework (or grades of H/S for professional students in a program that does not calculate GPA).
  • Courses may be 300, 400, or 500-level and must be in addition to the requirements of your current degree.
  • As internal transfer credits, only reserved courses with a B or higher will be transferred. Courses with a B- or below, S/F, or P/F grades are not eligible.
  • Limit of 6 reserved credits for a master's thesis degree or 9 credits for a master's non-thesis or doctoral degree.


The Reservation of Graduate Credit form is due to the Graduate School two weeks prior to the start of the semester in which you will enroll in the reserved course.


Approval to reserve graduate credit does not guarantee admission into a WSU graduate program.


If you wish to use these courses towards your current undergraduate degree, do not complete this form. Instead, please complete the Enrollment Request for Careers form.

Degree Information

Indicate the degree program you are CURRENTLY enrolled in.

Example: BA in Psychology, BS in Chemistry, MBA, Doctor of Pharmacy, etc.

Indicate the graduate degree program to which you intend to apply your reserved credits.

Example: Master of Architecture, Master of Athletic Training, MS in Chemistry, etc.

RESERVATION COURSE 1:

Example: HISTORY 509: Foundations in U.S. History

This is the unique enrollment number for a specific course, available in WSU's schedule of classes.

Provide the section number. This helps Graduate School staff ensure you are enrolled in the correct course offering (campus, time, instructor, etc.).

This is the unique enrollment number for a specific course, available in WSU's schedule of classes.
