Community Education Request Form

Greetings Community Members:

The Education Department at DHR Health is responsible for providing and facilitating quality education and competency development for all of its employees to ensure that safe and effective patient care is achieved for everyone in our community. The department spearheads the Education Committee which continuously works in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to provide the highest quality of education and training to the over 5,000 staff members employed at DHR Health. The department offers consultation to all levels of management staff for performance and quality improvement initiatives, always using educational expertise, facilitation techniques, and project management skills.

Education for all levels of healthcare professionals, non-clinical professionals, and for the community at large is available in safety, health, and wellness. DHR Health – as an official AHA Training Center – provides introductory level education and training as well as re-certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

In its ongoing efforts to support its staff and the healthcare community, DHR Education works in collaboration with other departments to make continuing education and training available to staff and physicians from other healthcare facilities. Chief among those offered are the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced.

The Education Department is second to none in its support of students at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate level as they strive to learn and experience modern healthcare. We have formed liaisons with academic facilities to collaborate in research and educational projects and through relationships with schools, community agencies, businesses, and public entities and affiliates, offer health education services and community outreach activities.

DHR Education actively seeks to promote agreements and pursues grant opportunities that serve to provide career development enhancement at no cost to its employees. Higher Education opportunities and tuition reimbursement for employees are available through affiliations currently in place with Institutes of Higher Learning.

Happy Learning,

DHR Health
