The Imams Office strongly recommends every couple to have 3 pre-marital counseling sessions prior to the Nikah. However, one session is mandatory. Please use the form available on our website to request your session and our office assistant will reach out to you with scheduling instructions. Procedures for getting married at ADAMS: * 1) I will obtain a marriage license from the local county couthouse and submit it no later than seven days before the date of the Islamic marriage. 2) I will complete the Marriage Profile and Application Form, along with the Premarital Contract and submit these two forms no later than seven days before the date of the marriage. (Both forms can be downloaded from www.adamscenter.org, in the Matrimonial section.) 3) I understand that my fiance and I will need to complete a mandatory premarital counseling session before the nikkah ceremony. (My finance and I will read and review the Premarital Questionare that is also available on the ADAMS website prior to the counseling session) 4) My fiance and I will provide two witnesses for the Islamic ceremony. *** I understand that ADAMS will not procede with the Nikkah until all paper work has been submitted, premarital counseling has been completed, and all logistical matters have been completed.
