Sanford Health makes available a financial resource to assist students with the expenses associated with completion of the Medical Assistant Program. In return for the financial resource, the student has the opportunity to be employed as a Medical Assistant in a full-time status at Sanford Health. ELIGIBILITY

• Must be accepted into the online Medical Assistant Program at Southeast Technical College.
• Commit to working 3 years for Sanford Health upon completion of the program.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

• Award of $15,000 which covers tuition, fees, books and other expenses.
• Recipients agree to work full-time for Sanford Health for 3 years after successful graduation.
• Forgiveness will begin upon receipt of CMA national certification and employment at Sanford Health.
• Failure to comply with any of the requirements of this program will result in repayment of the loan with interest.

FUNDING

• Sanford Health provides this resource directly to the students selected through the application process. Any and all taxes associated with this financial resource become due at the time of forgiveness. You will see the taxes deducted in the tax year of your employment as a Medical Assistant. This is in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service.
