Information for the Michigan Youth Institute

Participants can attend the 2025 World Food Prize Michigan Youth Institute by attending in-person on the campus of the MSU in East Lansing, MI or by attending online/virtually using Zoom. Those attending online/virtually will need to have their own individual computer, tablet, or phone in order to participate, as the program will be interactive. The agenda for in-person and virtual attendees will vary slightly at times to maximize the experience for participants in both attendance formats.

We will be hosting an optional networking breakfast reception prior to the start of the WFP MIYI on May 8. The informal networking breakfast will be an opportunity for youth participants and teachers/mentors to meet MSU faculty, students, and other experts, as well as other students and teachers, and to learn about opportunities for prospective MSU students related to addressing food, hunger, and other grand challenges.

The Networking Breakfast will be held from 7:30 am - 8:45 am on May 8, 2025 for both in-person and online participants. The reception will be informal and you do not need to join for the entire time.

Please let us know if you would like to participate in the Networking Breakfast Reception.

The Global Youth Institute is a week-long academic conference hosted by the World Food Prize Foundation in October. This is a separate event from our regional/state Youth Institutes.
