Purpose and Overview

The Perinatal Mental Health Task Force will provide comprehensive policy recommendations for the improvement of perinatal mental health in the District. The Task Force shall study and make recommendations to the Council by October 1, 2023. In order to complete this work, the Task Force has created four (4) subcommittees. Subcommittee participation is open to the public.

Perinatal Mental Health Task Force Subcommittee Overview

The Perinatal Mental Health Task Force Subcommittees will meet monthly between April and September 2023 to provide recommendations and feedback on the priority populations, models of care, workforce development, landscape analysis, financial impact, and coverage needed to improve perinatal mental health in the District.

Participation in the Perinatal Mental Health Task Force Subcommittees may involve virtual and in-person meetings at least once a month, depending on the feedback from participants.
