Truck Setup

This form must be completed by all hauliers who require continued access to Coillte’s systems for the purpose of timber removal.


Please note:


1. Haulage Licence: All trucks accessing Coillte’s systems must be verifiably listed on a haulage licence.

2. Vehicles: All Tractor Units, Trailer Units, Log Loading Units (Other than Harvesting Forwarders) involved in timber removal must be recorded on Coillte’s systems.

3. Audible Reversing Alarm: Coillte Site Safety rules require an audible reversing alarm to be fitted.

4. 46 Tonne: All new Artic/Rigid units requiring 46 Tonne Maximum GVW status on Coillte’s systems, must upload a copy of the relevant RSA approved Certificate detailing the Truck Registration on the certificate.

Trucks previously approved to the 46 Tonne standard, please submit these documents if you have them, otherwise these may be requested at some point in the future.

  • If you do not currently have 46T paperwork, please proceed with submitting your truck for installation. It can be set up initially at 44T and upgraded to 46T at any point once you get the required paperwork.

5. If you require a Haulage Key, please submit the following form - and please note that your key request will not be approved until such time as your truck and other requirements of the process are installed, setup and approved for work by Trimble Forestry.

Upon submitting all set-up forms and requested documents, Trimble will validate all information and ORBCOMM will be in contact regarding the scheduling of the vehicle fit-out. Once vehicle fit-out is completed by ORBCOMM.


Trimble will engage with the driver responsible for the vehicle to establish that the TRP system is functioning correctly and will authorise Coillte system access when this is confirmed.

This must match the company name on the haulage licence this vehicle is listed on.

Is the Truck on the Company Haulage Licence?*

Is the PTO Enabled?*

PTO enabled to operate on truck or trailer mounted crane. All vehicles which are PTO capable must have it enabled to ensure continued access to Coilltes systems.

Max Gross Weight*

Your truck, when added to Coillte's databases, will be enabled for delivery to a maximum gross of 44T. If you wish to have your truck upgraded to 46T maximum gross, please ensure that you attach the plating certification for the truck to this form for approval.

Only when approval is granted will a truck by upgraded to 46T. Existing trucks approved to haul 46T do not require paperwork to be resubmitted. However, this could be requested at some point in the future.
