FIRE COMMERCIAL BUILDING REGISTRATION
This registration is often called "FCOM," which is short for "fire commercial." The commercial building registration helps cover the cost of the city-wide fire inspections program.
A commercial building is defined by City ordinance as: Any building that the state building and fire codes apply to, and is not used for living. (In buildings that are used for multiple purposes, the commercial building registration is only for the parts that are not used for living.)
The annual fee is based on the size of the commercial occupancy of the building.
