We would like to share with all applicants that our we are entering the final few years of our time in Snow Lion. We will no longer offer Snow Lion as a residential option after the Spring 2027 term.

Summer housing is only available for students who are in on-campus housing for the current spring semester and are planning to continue living in on-campus housing into the following fall semester.


Summer housing charges are NOT covered by financial aid. Students who stay in on-campus housing over the summer are responsible for paying summer housing fees. Currently, all summer housing is $3,600 regardless of housing assignment.


Failure to do so will result in a bursar's hold being placed on your Naropa account preventing you from registering for classes, receiving your diploma, and more.

Demographic Information

The following questions ask demographic information such as your date of birth, class standing, and gender. Students are generally placed with individuals of the same gender, unless otherwise requested. Will you require ADA Accommodations?*

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, our Accessibility Services Office, works with students to approve accommodations for a variety of visible and invisible disabilities. The Accessibility Services office also approves emotional support animals.

Naropa University no longer requires, but does recommend that all students living in on-campus housing must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This means receiving two doses of either Pfizer or Moderna OR one dose of J & J, AND any required booster doses (***This means at least one booster for anyone over the age of 12). As of Fall 2023, students can live on-campus with an approved vaccination exemption.


Vaccine information and vaccination exemptions must be submitted through the Medicat system, which can be accessed via MyNaropa.

Housing Requests

All Naropa University Housing is for the academic year unless otherwise specified. Naropa University does offer limited summer housing as well. All prices below are for the academic year


Snow Lion, an Apartment Style Residence Hall offers apartment-style living, with 1-2 bedroom apartments, 1 bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. Shared bedroom options are 2 bedroom apartments housing up to 4 residences.


2333 Arapahoe is a newly constructed residence hall that offers traditional residence hall style rooms (with 1 full bathroom per room) and a communal living space and kitchen. 2333 Arapahoe has single and shared bedroom spaces.


Please be aware that shared bedrooms have the most availability in both Snow Lion and 2333 Arapahoe. Please note that your selection does not guarantee your assignment. Room assignments are granted on a combination of ADA status, housing requirement status, available space and a first-come, first-serve bases based on the date which the housing application was completed. The housing rate includes rent, all utilities, high-speed internet service and free laundry.

If you identify a roommate and that person identifies you on their application, you may be assigned to share a bedroom. If you would like to identify more than one roommate to live together in a 2 bedroom apartment, please list all of their names (and they must do the same on their application).

Lifestyle Questions

Tell us about you! Remember, your honest and candid responses to the questions will aid Residence Life Staff in initially assigning roommates. While we cannot match roommates’ interest in all cases, especially applications/contracts submitted after initial assignment are made, strong consideration is given to most preferences indicated. Reminder: Naropa’s campus community, which includes residence life, is a designated smoke free environment.

Naropa University Housing is completely substance free and the use of alcohol or other drugs on site is prohibited. The Office of University Housing expects that all residents comply with federal, state, and university regulations related to the use of alcohol and other drugs. The purpose of the following question is to match roommates where complete abstinence from alcohol and drugs, healthy, sustainable, and thoughtful choices will be respected and residents can be assured that substance use and/or abuse outside of the hall will not be a factor in their lives as well. Please check below to indicate your understanding that Snow Lion and 2333 Arapahoe are both substance free residential areas and that possessing, using, or being under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or other drugs on housing property constitutes a violation of both your lease and the Naropa Student Code of Conduct.

We cannot guarantee "perfect" roommate matches. Even the best relationships require compromise, respect and empathy. In this section try to think broadly. Being too specific will make it more difficult to match you and probably will not be able to be honored fully

We continue to emphasize the likelihood that most Snow Lion residents will be assigned roommates (even a private room will have others living in the apartment). Our requests for private space historically outnumber our ability to provide it. If you are not required to live on campus and private space is a non-negotiable, it is best to let us know here. While this will not impact our ability to assign you private space, we can keep you informed of your status and recommend you also search for off campus housing in case we cannot meet your needs. If you are required to live on campus, your chances of getting private space (without documentation from Disability Services) are limited. Students have been able to be reassigned to private space throughout the school year based on availability. We would rather you expect a roommate and be reassigned to private space than expect to be in private space and disappointed if we cannot accommodate.
