Summer Undergraduate Research Application

APPLICATIONS DUE 11:59PM FEBRUARY 15, 2024

The summer undergraduate research programs in SDSS provide undergraduates with opportunities to work on a faculty-mentored research project over the summer quarter. We have several different summer programs for Stanford students that all offer educational and community building experiences that engage across programs.

To apply for MUIR, please submit your application here (note: a faculty member must submit the MUIR application on behalf of the undergraduate student).

To apply for SUPER and SESUR, you must develop a project proposal with a faculty member (and likely a graduate student or postdoc) who will serve as additional research mentor(s). Your proposed faculty research advisor must approve your application. Once you submit this form, they will receive an email notification asking for approval.

If Hopkins is your first choice, you may apply for a second program as well. Please note, you will only be funded for one project for the summer. Each project proposal must be submitted as its own application through this portal.
