2023 PPAMM Storyteller's Bureau interest form

Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte is recruiting for virtual Storytellers Bureau Volunteers throughout the mid-California and Northern Nevada region who will be trained and mentored to effectively share their health care story. All interest form applicants will go through a pre-screen interview and group interview. Participants will not have to share their story in group interviews.

Participants will:

be part of a cohort who will work with PPAMM staff over the course of one year to share their stories in multiple capacities.
have agency over how their stories are shared.
will be assisted by staff and go through small group sessions, one-on-one coaching, and workshops to get comfortable talking about your experience (all virtual).
be provided guidance and tools for sharing your story in different capacities.

Requirements:

Attend 3 training sessions:
April 1 - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. PST (all members required)
April 15 - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. PST (optional depending on region)
April 15th -12 p.m. to 3 p.m. PST (optional depending on region)
April 29 - 9am to 12 p.m. PST (optional depending on region)
April 29 - 1pm to 3 p.m. PST (all members required)
Other training sessions and storytelling opportunities TBD on a regular basis
Open to sharing your story publicly.
Access to a computer and internet connection.
Complete storytelling opportunities
Attend CA Capitol Day/Week - TBD
