SIEPR Visiting Fellows Application: AY 24-25

The SIEPR Visiting Fellows program supports junior faculty with a track record of producing outstanding economics research on policy-relevant topics.


Visiting Fellows are active in the intellectual life of SIEPR and are a part of the Young Scholars Program. Free from teaching or administrative responsibilities, they focus on their research and participate in working groups, seminars, and other activities at Stanford. We seek applicants who are non-tenured junior faculty with diverse backgrounds and perspectives, who completed their PhD within the last 5 years.


Visiting Fellows are expected to be on leave from their home academic institutions and to be in residence at SIEPR for a full academic year. SIEPR provides partial salary support equal to half of their academic year (3 quarter/9-month) salary at their home institution.

SIEPR Visiting Fellows are expected to be in residence for a full academic year (nine to ten months). Please state your approximate visit dates below.

We want to encourage your involvement in the SIEPR community, and a faculty host can help connect you with seminars, events and people of similar research areas that can grow your network while here at Stanford. Please list the name of one or more Stanford faculty members who might serve as host for your visit.
