2025 DeKalb County Summer Youth Employment Program: Department Internship Hosting Survey


We welcome you to host an intern during the 2025 Dekalb Summer Youth Program.

Program Overview:


The 2025 DeKalb Summer Youth Employment Program (DSYEP) offers 350 internships to eligible DeKalb County residents aged 16 to 21. Participants will gain valuable work readiness training and practical work experience through engaging, structured internships at various locations across DeKalb County — all at no cost to you.


Program Details:


• Hourly Wage: $15 per hour

• Schedule: 24 hours per week, Monday to Thursday

• Duration: 5 weeks, June 2, 2025 – July 3, 2025


Eligibility Requirements:


• Must be a DeKalb County resident

• Age requirement: Between 16 and 21 years old

•. Must successfully complete a drug screening and background check
