RTVF Loaner Hard Drive Request Form

Undergraduate students enrolled in RTVF production classes with financial need may request to check out a 1TB external hard drive to execute their project assignments. The G-DRIVE mobile SSD features transfer speeds up to 560MB/s and a backwards compatible USB-C™ port to deliver high-performance storage.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, but students are encouraged to apply during the first week of the quarter. Students will be notified within two business days of application whether they qualify for the program. Priority will be given to students who receive financial aid from Northwestern or outside sources.

Once approved for this program, students can check out an external drive through the Cage’s web checkout system as they would any other equipment: http://webcheckout.northwestern.edu

Checkout period is for a maximum of 10 weeks, beginning the first week of the quarter and ending on the last day of classes. Students who need a hard drive during finals week must contact Rachael Moeller (rachael@northwestern.edu) to request an extension on their reservation.
