The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) invites currently enrolled undergraduate students to submit a photo that tells their research story at the UO. This contest provides a platform for students engaged in research to highlight the significant impact of their research work and their unique perspective on it.

Please provide a description of the image (maximum 150 words). If the image is a portrait of someone conducting research, this should include a description of what the person in the photo is doing. The description should be written so that someone who is not a researcher in your field can understand what is occurring in the photo.

Minimum resolution: 300 dpi, preferred dimensions 18x24 inches (vertical or horizontal orientations are accepted)
Image format: .jpg, .png., or .tif
No images of vertebrate research animals will be accepted.
Images containing human research subjects MUST have PI approval before submission.
Photos may be edited to a reasonable degree (basic editing of color, contrast, brightness, etc.). Drastic alterations (e.g., addition or removal of significant portions of the photo using editing software, etc.) are generally discouraged.
No AI-generated images.
We encourage you to name the file using the format firstname_lastname-subject (e.g., “jane_doe-DNA.jpg”).
