Complaint Form



We take complaints seriously and aim to provide an environment where students are free to study without being subjected to behaviour that may constitute discrimination, harassment, or victimisation.


We have a dedicated Complaints team to help you navigate the processes and ensure that your complaint is appropriately referred to the relevant decision-maker.


Student complaints are managed per the Complaints Policy - Students (https://policies.cdu.edu.au/view-current.php?id=51). Complaints from members of public, alumni, and prospective students are managed by applying similar principles and avenues of escalation.


To submit a complaint, please complete this form. if your complaint is about more than one issue, you must complete a form for each issue.

Academic matters include

  • the content, design, or delivery of an academic program
  • clarity of an assessment item
  • CDU equipment, facilities, or resources
  • feedback provided by academic staff.


Non-academic matters include

  • fees
  • Confirmation of Enrolment
  • the quality or delivery of a CDU service or facility.


Unfair treatment

  • Treatment/behaviour by a member of the CDU community that occurs via any medium.


Note that complaints about the conduct of a person may be managed under the provisions of the Staff Code of Conduct (https://policies.cdu.edu.au/view-current.php?id=138), Student Code of Conduct (https://policies.cdu.edu.au/view-current.php?id=139), or the Student Academic Integrity Policy (https://policies.cdu.edu.au/view-current.php?id=50).

When did the incident occur? For example, if you would like to complain about an assignment mark, what date did you receive the mark? If you are complaining about an unsuccessful application, what date did you receive the outcome of the application?

Have you tried to resolve your complaint locally?*

For example, have you raised your concerns with the staff member closest to your issue? This can be your Lecturer, Unit Coordinator, or a member of Student and Academic Administration, CDU Global etc.

For example, if you met with a staff member to discuss your complaint, when did you meet? If you communicated with them via email, when was the last date of communication?

Provide a summary of your conversation with the staff member and solutions they may have offered offered (if any).

'CDU activities' includes behaviour on campus, online, in workplaces, placements, or in the field.

If the incident did not occur as part of a CDU activity, we may not be able to help, but we can still talk about other options. If you would like a member of our team to contact you, provide a brief summary of the incident and we will be in touch.
