Please note:

Please note that you and your family are required to have health insurance for your stay in the US, and you can read the insurance requirements for the J_1 visa here: https://bechtel.stanford.edu/coming-stanford/health-insurance.

It is difficult to find housing in the Stanford area, due to high demand. Please start your search for housing early. There is no reserved on campus housing for visitors. A good place to start looking for resources: https://rde.stanford.edu/studenthousing/community-housing

Your application for visa will be approved with your visiting appointment and the processing time is currently 4 months. We will send the visa document to you when it has been created and approved. You will take it to the US consulate to get your visa.
