Clinic Application Information
Thank you for your interest in the Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts ("OVLA") legal clinic!
Use of Information: If you are eligible for the clinic, the information in your application may be shared with individuals within OVLA to provide you with legal services. The information you provide will not be used for any purpose outside of OVLA without your permission.
Timing: OVLA processes applications for the legal clinic on a rolling basis. You should receive a response from our Clinic Coordinator within two to three weeks as to whether your application has been approved. If you do not receive an email by that time or have any questions or concerns please contact LegalHelp@OregonVLA.org.
Eligibility: The legal clinic is available to people and organizations who are not able to hire an attorney because of financial difficulties.
Applicants must be an Oregon resident, an organization incorporated or organized in Oregon, or have a legal matter involving an Oregon resident or Oregon business..
Fees: OVLA charges an administrative fee after the consultation. Please see the legal clinic page for the current administrative fee:

Virtual Meetings: OVLA's clinic sessions are held virtually. If your application is approved and you are paired, your volunteer attorney will coordinate with you to set up the virtual meeting.
Limited Representation Agreement: You are required to agree to OVLA's Clinic Limited Representation Agreement to participate in the legal clinic:

Your application will be reviewed by OVLA to determine your eligibility for the clinic and, if approved, to match you with a qualified OVLA volunteer attorney to provide you with legal support.
