Hello Parents/Guardians of Escalante Middle School students. We are thrilled your child is interested in participating in Green Team.

A Green Team is an after-school club geared toward helping the environment. This club is active and interactive. With an adult advisor’s supervision, students will do their own research and develop group projects around reducing waste, recycling, conserving energy, and creating green spaces. Projects will be fun, practical, collaborative, and focus on improvements that can be made at the school.

The adult advisor is Karla Sluis, a district staff member who can be reached at 970-749-1781 or ksluis@durangoschools.org. Please fill out this form and submit it before your child attends the first meeting.

Meetings will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Room 512 at Escalante. Please pick up your child in front of the school at 4:30 p.m. Learn more about the Escalante Green Team.
