2025 Ambassador Program: Request for Interns

The City of San Antonio Ambassador Summer Internship Program is seeking employer partners to host meaningful internship opportunities for college students this summer. Our tentative dates are:

Internship begins: Monday, June 16, 2025

Internship ends: Friday, August 8, 2025

The Ambassador Program recruits talented college students locally and from across the country who will be home in San Antonio for the summer. We strategically connect students with internship opportunities that align with their interests and areas of expertise in order to promote mutually beneficial summer experiences and encourage students to consider San Antonio as a place to establish their careers.

By conducting the preliminary work, including recruiting and screening interns, the Ambassador Program makes the process of hiring talent as easy as possible. Interns are also provided Ambassador Program sponsored professional development sessions throughout the summer.

Please confirm the following:

My organization will identify a clean working space for our intern(s), with basic tools to complete assignments prior to their first day (if in person).*

Intern supervisor(s) will schedule intern(s) for 30 hours a week from June 16- August 8.*

My organization will assign a supervisor or mentor who will be available to provide direction and ongoing support as well as discuss goals, expectations and plans for success with the intern(s).*

My organization will complete college credit forms as requested by the intern(s).*

All intern supervisors will attend or watch the required supervisor training prior to the intern(s) start date.*

My organization will allow intern(s) to attend Ambassador Program sponsored professional development sessions throughout the summer.*

Intern supervisor(s) will approve or deny (with explanation sent to the intern) all timesheets within 1 work day of receipt.*
