Hot Work Application

This Hot Work Permit is required for any operation involving open flame or producing heat, and/or sparks. This work includes, but is not limited to, welding, brazing, cutting, grinding, soldering, thawing pipe, torch-applied roofing, or chemical welding. This permit requires 3 business days notice for processing. If this is an emergency, please submit this form and call the Fire Marshal's Office at 916-734-1223. By submitting this application applicant acknowledges that the information given is correct. Any permit which violates any applicable law or regulation shall be void, and any approval of plans and specification in the issuance of such permit shall be void. Applicant is responsible to present any event changes to the Fire Marshal’s Office in a timely manner.
