Learning Plan

The purpose of the Learning Plan is to enable an applicant who has not practised the profession for 750 hours in the 3 year period preceding the date of their application to self-evaluate their skills and knowledge related to the Standards of Practice and Core Competencies of the profession. By identifying areas for growth, the applicant is able to outline in their Learning Plan any activities, education or training that are necessary to address identified gaps which require remediation in order to ensure safe, competent and ethical naturopathic practice. Before developing the Learning Plan table on the next page, please complete the Standards of Practice Self-Assessment Questionnaire, the Core Competency and Controlled Acts Practice Reflection tools included in this package. Together, these documents will assist you in assessing the currency of your skills, knowledge and judgment, and will help you identify any areas for growth which may require training or education to be outlined in the Learning Plan. Note: In order to perform inhalation, injection or intravenous infusion therapy (IVIT), or to prescribe, dispense, compound or sell, members must have met the Standard of Practice for IVIT and/or the Standard of Practice for Prescribing. These Standards can only be met post-registration and are therefore not covered in the assessment tools provided.
