Travel Awards

Awards of up to $600 will be given to current or continuing undergraduate students only who travel to conferences to present their research or creative activity projects. Only one undergraduate student for each project will be awarded travel money. Travel must take place from July 2019-May 2020. Money will only be transferred to the department in which the activity took place. Only domestic (US) travel will be supported. Reimbursable expenses include: coach plane or train tickets, mileage, conference registration fee, hotel and per diem. The required ECU travel form must be filled out before travel occurs, and receipts for reimbursement must be supplied to the departmental office who will process the travel documents within two weeks after the travel occurs. Poster or presentation must acknowledge receipt of travel award from The Office of Undergraduate Research, East Carolina University.
