Salem Area Chamber of Commerce The First Citizen Awards Banquet honors the best and brightest of our community, an annual tradition since 1950. These individuals do not seek recognition, but make Salem a better place to work and live through their business, volunteering, and philanthropic efforts. We look forward to celebrating those who give of themselves tirelessly for the sake of our community, and who inspire others to reach higher levels of leadership excellence. Help us recognize our First Citizen, up to three Distinguished Service professionals, and an Outstanding Young Professional. The recipient of our community’s most celebrated award may be your friend, neighbor, co-worker or spouse.
