Educators Recommended to the Exemplary Educator Recognition Program are invited by the Nevada Department of Education to participate in stakeholder groups; serve on boards, councils, and commissions; and may be recommended for other types of recognitions such as being spotlighted in videos and media campaigns.

We invite you to recommend distinguished classroom teachers, specialized instructional support personnel, and/or site-based administrators who have demonstrated the following:

• Exceptional educational talent as evidenced by effective instructional practices and student learning results in the classroom and school;

• Exemplary educational accomplishments beyond the classroom that provide models of excellence for the profession;

• Individuals whose contributions to education are largely unheralded yet worthy of the spotlight;

• Educators who offer strong long-range potential for professional and policy leadership; and

• Engaging and inspiring presence that motivates and impacts students, colleagues, and the community.

Self-recommendations are not permitted.
