2025 AVID Student Speaker Contest

To enter the contest, upload your speech entry and complete the form below. You may also include an optional video of you delivering the speech.


Submissions should be approximately 500–800 words and no more than 5–7 minutes long when presented.


All speech entries are due no later than Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. If you have any questions, please email us at marcomm@avid.org. Thank you for your interest in entering the contest and sharing your AVID story! Winners will be announced end of February 2025!

Reminder: We recommend you use MLA formatting guidelines for the heading, font, and spacing. The heading should include your name, your school, and the date. The font should be Times New Roman, 12 pt., and double-spaced.
