2022-23 Peer Mentor Application

We are currently hiring for Poly Residential Peer Mentors and a Global Peer Mentor for spring 2022. Both positions support Fulton first year students through a variety of outreach and engagement activities.


Poly Residential Peer Mentor general duties: Live-in position at Century Hall at the Polytechnic campus.


Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering Peer Mentors are part of an ecosystem of support for Fulton first-year students that includes Fulton Schools faculty, staff, and resources. Peer Mentors facilitate attachment to ASU, Fulton, and their community by creating fun, engaging and meaningful co-curricular opportunities for students to connect with their peers, faculty and staff and also find purpose in their activities.


Global Peer Mentor general duties:  Contact international students, by phone and email as needed, support integration and acclimation programming efforts for new international students, provide logistical support to the International Academic Support Center workshops, assist with welcoming new international students to ASU and help them acclimate to academic and professional life in the United States, receive direction, ask questions, and work on a variety of projects, as assigned, in a highly-variable environment, maintain a reliable work schedule and strong work ethics, assist with the Social Media strategy. Social Media marketing proficiency, F-1/J-1 visa knowledge or study abroad experience preferred, but not required, proven experience interacting with international students, maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, respect, and confidentiality at all times while representing FES-ISSC We will review your application and respond to you if we would like to move forward with your candidacy.
