The City of Temple accepts requests for the issuance of proclamations to recognize, honor, or commemorate individuals, groups, organizations, and institutions that reflect civic activity and accomplishment and align with the City's vision, mission, and goals.
Requests will be evaluated on an individual basis regarding the individual or organizations significant civic activity, contributions, and accomplishments to the City of Temple and its community.
Proclamations may be issued for the following occasions:
• Local City or Civic Events
• Fund-raisers benefiting the citizens of Temple
• Organizations and individuals who have made direct and significant civic, philanthropic, and economic contributions to the City of Temple
• Retirements
• Significant birthdays
• Significant clergy and house of worship anniversaries
• Significant events or anniversaries of Temple-based institutions and companies
The City of Temple retains the right to edit all proclamation text, if provided and reserves the right to decline any request.
All requests need to be submitted two weeks prior to the date the proclamation will be presented or picked up. Proclamations must be picked up at the City Secretary’s Office, 2 N Main St., Temple, Texas.
