OOMPH Emergency Aid Application 2024-25

Please complete the emergency application for the 2024-25 academic year. The information provided will assist our departmental review process.


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have a temporary need resulting from a sudden, unexpected emergency event
  • Must be in “Good Standing” and must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Must be currently enrolled in at least 3 units.
  • Students can only receive an Emergency Aid award one time per term (Fall/Spring/Summer)
  • Note: Exceptions to these guidelines are rare and will be considered on a case by case basis


Types of Funding & Use of Funds:

  • Students can request Emergency Aid in one of the following forms:
  • Fee waiver (1-3 units) for current term (1 unit = $1,478 in Fall and $1,552 in Spring/Summer)
  • Stipend up to $1000 (considered taxable income)
  • Requests for funds to cover SHIP fees due to a missed waiver deadline will not be approved
  • Awards are subject to availability of funds. Total available funds each Academic Year are distributed equally across terms (Fall/Spring/Summer).
  • Please note that these student award are considered taxable income.
