I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician regarding my participating in the group walk and run at the IAPP Data Protection Intensive: UK 2025..

I understand that it is my responsibility to inform the group walk and run leader of any injuries and/or limitations that might affect my practice before the run begins.

I acknowledge and understand that participation in the group run entails known and unanticipated risks that could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death or damage to myself, to property, or to third parties. I understand that such risks cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activities. Without certain degree of risks, runners would not improve their skills and the enjoyment of activities would be diminished. I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in this activity. My participation is purely voluntary, and I elect to participate in spite of risks.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the group program at the IAPP Data Protection Intensive: UK 2025, I assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which might incur as a result of my participation in the program.

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the International Association of Privacy Professionals, Inc., its directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents (hereinafter referred to as “Releasees”) from any and all liability to the undersigned, his or her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin, for any loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to the person or property or resulting in the death of the undersigned, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise while the undersigned is in any way participating at the IAPP Europe Data Protection Congress 2024 (including, without limitation, the group run). It is expressly agreed that all use of the facilities and premises (including but not limited to stairs, parking areas, walkways) shall be undertaken at my sole risk. THE UNDERSIGNED further expressly agrees that the foregoing Release, Waiver and Indemnity is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by applicable law and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ AND VOLUNTARILY SIGNS THE RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, and further agrees that no oral representations, statements or inducement apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made.
