Academic Services Change Request

Institutions are requested to approach change request through defining detailed business requirements and objectives. Change Requests should include as much supporting materials as possible to assist in articulating the requirements. Information provided should include: Process Efficiencies, Compliance and Risk Mitigation.

Specify a summary of what is being requested. This field will be used to status and report and should be brief in nature Note: Please don't provide solutions - List the business problem being addressed.

Specify the requirements of the change requested. The change should focus on the desired outcome and not introduce solutions. Please be as detailed as possible. 1. What is the business problem that needs solving? 2. What metrics can be provided to help the change review board understand the scope of the requested change (Number of Students, Number of Transactions, Number of Hours, etc) 3. Do you have a potential solution to the business problem identified above? 4. How is this functionality / request currently being administered on your campus? 5. Have you already engaged a 3rd party vendor and selected a solution? If so, please attach all specification documentation, presentations, and statements of work 6. Do you have first hand knowledge of another institution who has implemented the solution you have identified? 7. Do you have a budget and project team assembled? Are they ready to execute in the event approval is given? Note: The more detail provided by the requestor will greatly expedite the approval process and eliminate the need for discovery meetings. If a new 3rd party solution is being explored, a Cyber-Security survey must accompany the change request.

Potential Solutions

All change requests should be accompanied by at least one solution and recommendation. An objective evaluation of the pros and cons of each solution offered should supplement solutions offered.
