Rappahannock Forestry Workgroup

The Rappahannock River Roundtable is launching a Forestry Workgroup to provide a forum for conservation partners and forestry experts to convene and inform our regional focus on a variety of forestry related best management practices and conservation outcomes. This group will meet quarterly via virtual meetings.

Areas of focus will include Riparian Buffers, Afforestation of Crop, Pasture, and Hay lands, Tree Planting for Shade and Silvopasture, Urban Tree Planting, Forest Conservation, Carbon Programs, funding for these programs, training needs/opportunities, and more.

If you or your organization work in the Rappahannock River Watershed, and have an interest, expertise, or experience in these forestry related program areas, we welcome you to participate in this workgroup.
