This training will cover key 2SLGBTQIA+ concepts and terms, an introduction to allyship and structural oppression, barriers 2SLGBTQIA+ people might face when attempting to access violence advocacy services, and some practical things you can say and do to support 2SLGBTQIA+ people at work and in your communities.


The educational objective of this workshop is to provide you with a greater competency of key 2SLGBTQIA+ concepts and terms, an actionable definition of allyship, practical skills to address barriers that 2SLGBTQIA+ people face and potential actions to take after the training is complete. This training will be led by C Michael Menge from OutFront Minnesota.


C Michael Menge (they & he) is the Community Advocacy & Training Specialist at OutFront Minnesota’s Anti-Violence Program (AVP). AVP is a broad-based effort to end violence and harassment against and within 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Menge provides trainings for community members, organizations, and conferences on how to better support 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, allyship and advocacy skills, and more.
