PIAK School Application 2025-2026

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Philanthropic Investment in Arkansas Kids (PIAK) program. The Reform Alliance administers the program and has contracted with ClassWallet to coordinate the distribution of funds to participating families. Participating families will make payments to schools through the ClassWallet platform.


All private schools must be approved by The Reform Alliance to participate in the PIAK program.

To be considered for participation as a private school for the 2025-26 school year for the PIAK program, please complete the application below. Applications will be reviewed within 10 - 15 working days from the day of the submission.


If you are a new applicant for 2025-26 and your application is approved, you will receive an email from automation@app.smartsheet.com. Follow the instructions in the email to set up your ClassWallet account to receive ACH payments.


If your application is declined, you will receive an email from automation@app.smartsheet.com describing the reason your application was not accepted.


Important:


All schools must submit their own application to be considered to participate in the PIAK program. Submissions from parents on behalf of a school will be declined.


The information submitted on this application must match the information used to create your ClassWallet vendor account. Once approved, your registration will NOT be deemed complete until you create your ClassWallet account and verify your bank account. This is how you will receive payments from program participants.

Definition of School Types

Private School: A private elementary school or private secondary school that:

  • Offers enrolled students a full academic curriculum and full academic year experience; and
  • Receives payments from PIAK recipients to provide goods and services that are covered as qualifying expenses according to PIAK program rules.

Required Documents - Private Schools

By submitting this application, you acknowledge that you must upload the following:


1) Verification of school’s accreditation or proof the school is in the process of obtaining accreditation. By uploading documentation from our accrediting agency, the school affirms that if, at any point following the school's approval to participate in the Philanthropic Investment in Arkansas Kids (PIAK) program, the accrediting association determines:


That the school is ineligible or unable to continue the accreditation process; or

It becomes impossible for the school to obtain accreditation within four (4) years from the date of eligibility


Within ten (10) days the school will notify the State Board of Education, or its designee, and the parents/legal guardians of PIAK students enrolled in or regularly attending the school of the accreditation association's determination.


2) A copy of the school's 2024 - 2025 Tuition & Fees AND 2025 - 2026 Tuition & Fees.

Attestation

By submitting this application, you are attesting to the following:


You will have to agree to the following:

9)(A) Comply with all health and safety laws and rules;

(B) Hold valid occupancy of buildings as required by the relevant municipality in which the private school is located;

(C)(i) Are held academically accountable by annually administering or making provision for the administration of a nationally recognized norm-referenced test to qualified students in grades three through ten (3-10) who have received educational scholarships under this subchapter.

(ii) However, a qualified student in grades three through ten (3-10) who has received an educational scholarship under this subchapter, has an individualized service plan in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, 20 U.S.C. § 1412(a)(10), as it existed on January 1, 2021, and is determined by the private school to need an exemption from standardized testing due to the existence of a significant cognitive disability is not required to take the test required under subdivision (9)(C)(i) of this section.

(iii) If a student is not required to take the test required under subdivision (9)(C)(i) of this section, a participating private school shall annually make provision for the student to take an alternate assessment approved by the State Board of Education or prepare a portfolio that provides information on a student's progress to the student's parent or guardian; and

(D)(i) Annually report the scores and other academic progress to:

(a) The parent or guardian of each qualified student who has received an educational scholarship under this subchapter; and

(b)(1) An independent research organization selected by the division in accordance with § 6-18-2307(b)(1).

(2) Data reported to an independent research organization shall be reported in a manner that ensures disaggregation by grade level, gender, family income level, and race.
