JobsOhio Growth Capital (JOGC) provides qualifying early-stage and growth-stage companies with financial and other support to help them become Ohio’s next generation of great employers and intellectual property creators. JOGC has a co-investment, risk capital structure, aligning with the strength of the round’s lead investor and founder teams. JOGC can participate in financing rounds via Convertible Debt or Direct Equity on the same terms as the lead and other investors in the round. JOGC investment is capped at 20% of an investment round and 20% aggregate ownership of any individual investment. Ideal Candidate:

• Ohio-based candidate company or out-of-state candidate company agreeing to locate or maintain a meaningful base of operations in Ohio as a condition of the JOGC investment
• Candidate must have already received significant financing prior to the round JOGC is considering participating in. Series A and later stage opportunities preferred.
• Candidate must have secured a term sheet from a lead investor for the round JOGC is invited to participate in. Qualified Lead Investor must be willing to accompany the candidate company for JOGC investment consideration. A Qualified Lead Investor is an investment firm or institution, located in or outside of Ohio, with formal, rigorous due-diligence processes and track record of exits, that makes direct investments professionally.
• Qualified Lead Investor must be willing to commit at least a 1:1 match to the JOGC investment.
