2024 ESTA Fire Academy Sign Up

This application is to show interest in participating in the 2024 ESTA Fire Academy Class. The class will begin on the 30th of January and end on May 19th. Completion of this application does not guarantee admission into the class. Class Fee for the program is $3500 and is due no later than February 1, 2024. There is no fee required if you live in the Sky Valley (From Sultan to Skykomish) A separate email will be sent with a link to pay. Priority registration will be given to the following groups

Persons who reside in the boundaries of Sky Valley Fire's response area
Members affiliated with a local fire department or EMS agency including Search and Rescue
Students of vocational Firefighting training programs
Persons who are have already completed a EMT Basic Program

Additional spots will be based on availability. If there is more applicants then spots available, applicants will be chosen at random via a lottery. All persons not offered a position will be waitlisted.

Class times are as follows:

Tuesday and Thursday 1800 to 2200

Saturday and Sunday 0700 to 1700

Additional practice time and study time outside of normal class hours will be required to be successful in completing the Academy. Students who miss more than 12 hours of class time may be withdrawn from the Academy.

In addition to the Tuition, students will be required to purchase one pair of navy blue work pants, one belt and one pair of non porous black shoes.

Completed CPAT or letter stating that you have an appointment to take the CPAT prior to the start of class.

Completion of an EMT Class or a NREMT or Washington State EMT Certification may also be uploaded if you are are asking for prioritization in the registration process.

I give the East Snohomish Training Academy and Snohomish County Fire District 26 permission to do a background check on me including but not limited to, criminal and work history, driving record and other matters deemed necessary as to my fitness to become a Firefighter.

I understand that participating in and or completing this course does not in anyway guarantee me membership as a member of Snohomish County Fire District 26 or any other agency that may be assisting with this course.

Failure to follow academy guidelines can result in dismissal from the course. No Refunds will be given due to poor performance on the part of the student or failure to follow guidelines.

I agree to have my class fee paid in full no later than February 1, 2024. If I fail to pay my fee on time I will be dropped from the class.
