Scholarship Applications
Dear Amazing Health Care Workers:
You have the opportunity to win one of several College scholarships!
- $5,000 Educational scholarship from HAPPEN
- $3,000 Educational scholarship from HAPPEN
- $1,000 Administrator-In-Training Scholarship through IHCA
(Plus a one-time testing fee from HAPPEN)
- 5 CNA Scholarships at CWI from CWI
(HAPPEN will cover the costs of books and materials up to $300)
- $5,000 scholarship from Northwest Nazarene University/HAPPEN
to be used in the nursing program at NNU
- $5,000 scholarship from Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine/HAPPEN
- $5,000 Carrington College Scholarship
- $2,000 NORCO Educational Scholarship

Follow the application directions and be sure to submit all paperwork requested. Your essay should include your thoughts about the commitment it will require, the motivation you feel, and the expectations you have for yourself and your professional growth. Help the voting committee know who you are and why you are passionate about the path you have chosen. Winners will be announced at the Caregiver of the Year event on May 15th, 2025.
Winners will be announced at the Care Giver of the Year event on May 15th, 2025 at 12:00pm at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID.

*Candidates must be at least 18 years old and planning to pursue an education in healthcare.
Qualifications for the “I Make It Happen” Caregiver of the Year
Educational Scholarships
1. Must have completed and submitted the application for the scholarship, meeting all appropriate deadlines. (Must attach reference letter for 2 non-related individuals)
2. Must provide details (typed or written) of education plan, including name of the school, name of program, intended dates of attendance, the expected graduation date, total cost of the program, and the breakdown of expenses to the Scholarship Committee.
3. Must become enrolled in and start classes for an educational program within one year from receipt of scholarship.
4. Must declare a major and be in pursuit of a specific degree of winner’s choosing in the medical field.
5. Winner can choose the educational institution of their choice, but it must be with an accredited institution.
6. Must maintain at least a “C” average in the course(s) the scholarship is covering.
7. Tuition will be paid directly to the institution of winners choosing.
8. Maximum reimbursement not to exceed the amount of scholarship.
