2023 APRU Student Global Climate Change Simulation Participant Registration Form

The APRU Student Global Climate Change Simulation is a role-playing exercise in which students will form multi-country, multi-disciplinary teams to play the role of delegates to the UN Climate Change Negotiations. The online simulation activity will take place over three sessions in English using materials from the World Climate Interactive and the EN-ROADS simulation model developed by MIT. These live sessions will be supplemented with short lectures and other materials developed and curated by the APRU experts. The simulation will take place over Zoom and material will be distributed using the online site Canvas.


Materials needed for participation:

Steady internet Computer or smart device with a microphone and video capabilities.

April 11/12 from 6-8:30 pm pacific, 9-11:30 am HK time

April 18/19 from 6-8:30 pm pacific, 9-11:30 am HK time

April 25/26 from 6-8:30 pm pacific, 9-11:30 am HK time

By successfully completing this application to participate in the APRU Student Global Climate Change Simulation, I commit to:

  • Fully participate in the event on all three (3) days and times listed below:

  • Be an engaged participant in all individual and group activities before, during, and after the event.


  • Arrive to the event on time, with the appropriate material prepared and ready to participate.


  • Communicate with organizers and group members if I am unable to participate for any reason.


  • Be respectful and kind to all fellow participants, including faculty, experts, guests, and facilitators.


  • Ask questions and communicating clearly should any unpredicted challenges arise.


Students who actively participate in all three sessions will earn a certificate of completion.
