Application for Certificate Programs

CSUSB offers a variety of programs leading to a certificate of competency in special areas. For a complete list of certificates offered, please refer to the CSUSB Bulletin: https://catalog.csusb.edu/graduate-degree-programs/certificates/.

Certificate programs with the "Post-baccalaureate Only" (PBAC Only) notation are intended for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree.

The application fee is $25.00 per certificate.

Students should NOT file this application until they have completed at least one term of certificate-applicable coursework.

Candidates should file this application no later than the last term of certificate-applicable study when required course work will be completed. The awarding of a certificate will be noted on the student's transcript.

Acknowledgement

The certificate is awarded upon confirmation that the requirements for the program have been satisfied. The candidate is responsible for filing an application with the Office of the Registrar for the granting of the certificate, no later than the last term of certificate-applicable study and for notifying the processing coordinator when required course work has been completed. The awarding of a certificate will be noted on the student's transcript. It is also the responsibility of the student to refile a new application and payment in the event of a change in term due to not completing the program requirements in the term indicated.
