CMS: Nominations for Reverse Industry Virtual Meeting Panels
The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has asked the PSC and the National Contract Management Association, Woodlawn Chapter for help planning their Reverse Industry Day event tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2020, which will be held virtually.
In a Reverse Industry Day, the audience is the government workforce (Contracting Officers, Contract Specialist, Program Managers, Contracting Officer Representatives and other acquisition workforce personnel) and industry representatives are the presenters. The theme of the Reverse Industry Day is to provide CMS with industry views on best practices in the Pre-Award and Post-Award processes involving CMS procurements and to let CMS know what CMS can do to make improvements.
We are looking for participants with experience doing business with CMS that can discuss best practices in either of two sessions:
Pre-award: Discussion on engagement with CMS on procurement matters such as market research approaches, contract vehicles used, forming teaming agreements and solutions prior to final RFP release; solicitation structure, evaluation process, evaluation criteria, discussions/negotiations, and various types of competitions.
Post-award: Discussion on managing the multitude of federal staff involved in requirements direction, requirements management process, understanding what a successful deliverable definition is, overall performance management, scope creep and when to inform the COR/CO, access to systems and CMS facilities, when and how to suggest ideas for improvement that require a contract modification, and overall contract management. Topics can also include the importance of a successful contract kickoff meeting and CPARS ratings.
Please nominate individuals (either you or others from your company) by submission of this form no later than 5:00 pm May 29, 2020.
