2023 London West Tincaps Scout Days & Tryout Registration Form

Would you like to join the London West Tincaps?


Tincaps are hosting Scout Days on Saturday, September 10th and Sunday, September 11th, 2022. This is open to all athletes between 8U (born 2015) to 13U (born 2010).


Scout Days are an opportunity for anyone who is new to baseball, current Byron or Oakridge House League player, or Tincaps' player and is interested in learning more about playing REP or SELECT baseball and wants to come out and test their skills in a fun, no pressure environment.


Scout Days ARE NOT TRYOUTS, tryouts will begin later this fall, see below.


Tryouts


Tryouts for athletes between 9U (born 2014) and 15U ( born 2008) years of age will take place in October.


Tryouts for our 8U (born 2015), 16U (born 2007), and 18U (born 2005-2006) teams will take place indoors during winter/spring (February/March) of next year.

There will be no cost for Scout Days or tryouts this season. The cost if you make the team will be $550, plus team fees.

Athlete's Information

Tincaps are governed by the borders put in-place by London District Baseball Association. To be eligible to play for the Tincaps, the athlete's primary residence must be within the boundaries of Oakridge or Byron. On behalf of myself and the athlete being registered, I recognize that baseball entails serious risks. Consequently, except as noted below, I and the athlete being registered relinquish all rights to a claim of any kind, including the right to a claim for bodily and material damages, regardless of the cause, against Baseball Ontario, its member associations, including Oakridge Optimist Baseball Association and London West Tincaps and their respective officers, employees, coaches, umpires, assignees, agents, representatives, and sponsors, even if such damages result from negligence of Baseball Ontario, its member associations, including Oakridge Optimist Baseball Association and their respective officers, employees, coaches, umpires, assignees, agents, representatives, and sponsors.


Without restricting the generality of the preceding, I and the athlete being registered also relinquish the right to any claim against Baseball Ontario, its member associations, including Oakridge Optimist Baseball Association / London West Tincaps and their respective officers, employees, coaches, umpires, assignees, agents, representatives, and sponsors resulting from a decision on their part, regardless of the nature of this decision.


This release of Baseball Ontario, Oakridge Optimist Baseball Association / London West Tincaps and the other persons noted above does not preclude myself or the athlete being registered from making a claim under any sports accident coverage provided by Baseball Ontario and/or Oakridge Optimist Baseball Association and/or London West Tincaps to their athletes. Next Steps

An email will be sent to the email addresses you provided above when tryout dates have been scheduled for your age group.

Just In Case...

Its always good to have a backup plan in case things don't work out. In the event your athlete is unsuccessful in making the Tincaps we strongly suggest you also sign up for Oakridge or Byron house league program. If you ARE successful making a Tincaps' team your registration fee will be transferred from our house league program and you will not be charged a refund penalty from Oakridge or Byron.
