Legacy Young Leaders Programme
Hello & thank you for applying to be part of the Legacy Young Leaders program. Before you get started on the application form, we just want to give you some more information on the program so please do read it through carefully. As a Young Leader your role within Legacy will be to volunteer on session with the juniors, supporting and leading on engaging activities. Junior sessions are on Tuesdays (4pm - 8pm), Saturday and Sundays (11am - 3pm). As a Young Leader, we need you to be: - between the ages of 14 & 18 - a member at Legacy Youth Zone - able to commit to 5 weeks of training - keen to work with young people Legacy will offer you, as a Young Leader: - 5 weeks of training to prepare you for your role. Training topics will include: What is a Young Leader, Safeguarding, Boundaries, Activity planning, Risk Assessment)' - a free hot meal whilst on session - a Legacy Young Leaders uniform at graduation - Support throughout your time with us as a Young Leader, having an experienced Team member supporting you on session. Why become a Young Leader?: - To get experience working with young people - Work experience - CV Skills - Reference - To develop you communication skills - Meet new people Due to the current guidelines, our first Young Leaders cohort will be a small group and so you might not get onto this cohort. But don't worry! We will be running the Young Leaders training program multiple times throughout the year and your name will be out forward for the next one.
