THCDA Scholarship Application

All applicants must be a graduating high school senior during the year of application with plans to attend either a four-year university or other post-high school education, or must be enrolled is a college or university, vocational, or trade school during the year of application. Applicant must be a member of the Texas Hill County Dorper Association.


NO student will be excluded from consideration nor given additional merit based on his/her parent’s/guardian’s affiliation with the Texas Hill Country Dorper Association.


Applications will be reviewed by an appointed Scholarship Committee. These individuals will be volunteers, none of whom have a student applying for said scholarship. Applications will be presented to the Scholarship Committee without names and addresses. They will be judged anonymously and solely on their experiences and involvement with the Dorper breed.


Up to four scholarships will be awarded. The scholarship amount will be up to $1,000 depending on the number of scholarships awarded. Payment will be made to the Scholarship winner upon receipt of class registration and proof of payment. This Scholarship is a one-time Scholarship and is not renewable for subsequent semesters.


Should the Scholarship recipient choose not to attend college or withdraw their college registration, they will forfeit the Scholarship or return the Scholarship money to the Texas Hill County Dorper Association.
