CSS Mentor Application - Fall 2025
CSS (College Student Success) 100 is a required class for all incoming HCCC students. The overall purpose of the 1 credit course is to assist students in gaining skills to succeed academically, thrive interpersonally, choose and act responsibly, and ultimately investigate and clarify personal career goals.
The CSS Mentor Program is an exciting new initiative that pairs mentors with CSS 100 instructors to assist with classroom activities described above. Selected mentors will play a pivotal role in assisting our incoming students successfully complete the course and be better acquainted with all of the great resources that Hudson County Community College has to offer.

Qualifications
- Be enrolled part time or full time at HCCC for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
- Minimum of a 2.5 College Level GPA and a passing grade of a āCā or better in ENG-101.
- Must have completed and passed CSS-100.
- Be in good academic and judicial standing.
- Assist instructors in a minimum of 2 CSS-100 classes.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
