Detroit 2020 Memorial Day Volunteer Sign-Up

Mayor Mike Duggan declared August 31 as Detroit Memorial Day to honor city residents who lost their lives to COVID-19. The City installed large photo boards representing Detroit residents we lost along the driving route on Belle Isle. On Friday, September 4th, we will distribute these photos to families. Thank you for your willingness to volunteer! Please complete this form in its entirety to register as a volunteer. All roles will adhere to CDC distancing requirements. Volunteer Role

Friday September 4th Picture Distribution: We will distribute all of the pictures used in the memorial to families. This event designed to be completely drive up and no contact. Volunteers will assist with sorting pictures and placing them into the vehicles of families.

T-shirts are based off of standard male sizes
 

Serve Detroit Team

The Serve Detroit Team is a citywide volunteer team that is comprised of residents, City employees, and community partners. We take pride and ownership in our community by participating in a variety of volunteer activities.
 
This includes monthly email updates on volunteer opportunities.
