Referee Course Expression of Interest Form

If you are interested in becoming a Referee, then please click on the Next button shown below and complete your application. Once completed, our Workforce Development Officer (WDO) will provide you with the details of upcoming referee courses being run locally to you.

Before you are contacted to book onto a course, you will be required to complete The FA Laws of the Game Modules via http://bit.ly/Online-Ref. This can be accessed immediately. You will also be required to complete a Safeguarding Children module.

Under 16 Referees must complete the Safeguarding For All module and Referees aged 16+ are required to complete the full Safeguarding Children Workshop. These can be found here: https://thebootroom.thefa.com/learning/qualifications/safeguarding-courses

Please note that these modules MUST be completed under the learner's FAN Number. Once this form and all modules have been completed, you will be contacted regarding booking onto a course.

Those signing onto a course purely for the Duke of Edinburgh award should ensure they are also willing to commit to refereeing beyond its completion.

Your Football

If you still play football on a Sunday morning, your refereeing opportunities will be extremely limited due to the majority of fixtures taking place at this time. There are other leagues available on Saturday, however these are more rare to find. We would recommend that if you play on both dates to wait until you have more time to dedicate to refereeing.
